One of the top reasons why girls become sexually active at such a young age is due to the fact that they are uneducated on the dangers and consequences of sex. That is why I became sexually active at a young age. If someone had told me about all of the STDs and other dangers of having sex, I probably would be a virgin at 30. This vaccine isn’t a reason for your daughter to become promiscuous, it’s the first opportunity that we have to fight against a cancer. Seize the opportunity! It’s never to early to educate your children about sex and this provides the perfect opportunity to educate your children! Help them make wise decisions and become responsible young adults. Give them a chance to avoid heartache and pain in their later years. I personally view this vaccine as a godsend. I contracted HPV a few years ago and I wish that this vaccine would have been offered when I was younger. I am now 17 years old and already at a high risk for cervical cancer.
